Toad Hall Nursery

Toad Hall Nursery in Manor Road is situated in a residential area near Walton town centre and the river Thames. The nursery is linked with a seperate baby annext situated nearby in Cambridge Road. The nursery can take up to 52 children of whom no more can be under 2 years.  Cambridge Road can take another 12 babies and the children tend to move up to Manor Road around 14 months.

The purpose built property consists of 5 base rooms and a kitchen plus staff facilities. Children are grouped according to age into specific rooms designed for their needs and development.

There is a seperate pre school building for children aged 3- 5 years and they follow a more educational programme designed to prepare them for entry to school. All rooms have immediate access to a large playground and an adjoining grass area. The outdoor area is used as an additional area and children are encourage to access it as they wish during 'free flow'.

The nursery is open throughout the year from Monday - Friday 0800 - 1800 except for public holidays and a week at Christmas. The nursery can take children for an early drop off from 0730 subject to prior booking.

The nursery employs eleven members of staff excluding the cook and cleaner. All staff who work with the children hold an early years qualification and the supervisor of Cambridge Road holds a foundation degree in Early Years. All staff regularly update their training and several are attending further training courses.
