The nursery building is purpose built with a large outdoor space. There is a monitored secure entry system for access into the building at any time. Our opening hours are from 7.30am to 6.00pm, Monday to Friday closing only for public holidays and a week between Christmas and New Year. A later collection to 6.30pm is available on request.
We are a play based nursery which allows the children to explore and grow in a calm, secure and exciting environment. We create a family atmosphere within the nursery and cater for children from 3 months to 5 years. There are good links with the local schools and community. We value the contribution from parents and work in partnership to meet children’s needs. A recent parent commented
‘On behalf of Barbara and I, we would like to thank you and the rest of your team there that have been exceptional in looking after both our boys. I recall the time when we first dropped them off and the nerves that we as parents suffered. Toad Hall in Ripley has been wonderful. Thank you all so very much.’
In the nursery’s latest Ofsted inspection, inspectors described overall effectiveness of the nursery as “Good”.
The report states “Children benefit greatly by the small group size and well organised set up of the learning environment.”
“Children benefit greatly by the setting’s commitment to meeting children’s individual needs, particularly in relation to babies sleep and feeding routines, the settling of new children and supporting those with specific and complex needs.”
In June 2010, we were awarded 5 out of 5 stars for food hygiene with the outcome of excellent.
