We have compiled early learning resources to help parents and carers with learning and caring for their child. Feel free to explore this section and return as we will keep updating it!
It can sometimes be challenging raising children, which is why we provide all parents with early learning resources, guidance and hints and tips such as this What to expect when? booklet, created by 4Childen and supported by the Department for Education.
Whether it is advice about how to make your own baby food, manage allergies, deal with overweight children or deal with constipation, our nutrition guidance should give you some great advice on what you can do to alleviate or manage some of these issues.
Other useful early learning resources come in the form of games and learning such as playing Spot the Toad, colouring, reading and playing with alphabet and number cards (allowing your child to have fun during the education process). We love to have fun and learn through play at Toad Hall nurseries! We would love to hear parents’ educational play ideas, so feel free to share your ideas with us through our social media channels such as Twitter and Facebook.
We all know that children love singing and we certainly love songtime with the children in our nurseries, so we have put together the song lyrics to our favourite tracks and made these downloadable/printable. Whether it’s ‘Dingle Dangle Scarecrow’ or ‘Miss Polly had a Dolly’, all the children’s favourite nursery songs and poems are here! If there is anything missing that you would like to see here, get in touch and we will be pleased to add it in as one of our resources for parents.
Reading is so important for a child’s educational development and we have pulled together a list of recommended books that are brilliant for early years.
If there is anything you feel is missing in this early learning resources section, or feel that something else would be useful – just let us know, we’d be keen to hear your feedback!
