The children and staff from Berkhamsted nursery in Gossoms End have been busy recently with lots of activities to help raise vital funds for their local hospice, The Hospice of St Francis.
Their fundraising activities included a cake sale, superhero day, family fun day and an an open day and everyone had great fun participating in all of these.
We’re delighted that everyone put their heart and soul into supporting this great cause.
Our very own Nursery Manager Alicia and Assistant Manager Rebecca visited the Hospice of St Francis recently with their lovely children Edee and George and presented the hospice with a cheque for the fantastic sum of £356.60.
Alicia has a personal connection with the hospice as her late mother-in-law, Jackie Sanders, was a patient here at the Hospice, so they decided to fundraise for the Hospice in memory of her.
During the visit, they got to tour round the hospice including the Sunshine Room, where the hospice’s Child Support Team are based, and made friends with some elephants – who have big ears for listening and never forget!
