Our menu is changing to a new Spring/Summer menu.
We have revised the menu, and made a few tasty changes, such as Beef Goulash, Lamb Meatballs and Thai Green Chicken Curry. If you would like to know more please come and see Marie.
Dress in Red for Red Nose Day!
On March 15th we are raising money for Comic Relief by asking you to dress your children in RED.
We will all be doing the same!
Mad Hatters Tea Party…
On Saturday 27th April we are having a Mad Hatters Tea Party!
We would like to invite you all to come and join in the fun, and bring along your friends, so they can experience what Ottershaw nursery is like. We will have a range of activities on the day, and some truly scrumptious food. There will be a competition and prizes for the most outrageous and creative hat!! More information will follow nearer the time. We hope to see you all there and some new faces too!
During February Little Blossoms made a fantastic Chinese new year display by making snakes, lanterns and blossom pictures. We had a yummy Chinese tea and made some peasant hats. We read our book of the month and made a display based on Mr. Bear.
During March we will celebrate St. David’s Day by making Daffodils, and we will be making lots of crafts for Mothers Day too. For Easter we will create yummy cornflake nests and have Easter egg hunts in the garden.
Please can we also ask that you continue to bring in family photos so we can display these for the children to look at and discuss during the day.

During March, Little Stars will be painting pictures from the book and washing toys in soapy water understanding about washing and keeping clean.
We will be focusing on water play activities, and the sensory feeling from exploring in water. We will be making cards to celebrate Mother’s Day and decorating salt dough eggs to celebrate Easter.
A little request… Please can we ask you to bring in a pair of slippers for your child to wear whilst at nursery?
Butterflies will be focusing on learning the days of the week and the months of the year.
We will be looking closely at the season of Spring, the changes to the weather, the trees and plants and the animals that we see. We will be looking and learning about Red Nose Day, St Patrick’s Day and Easter, and will be carrying out creative activities to support each festival.

We are creating Family Books, so please can we ask that you bring in photos of family members for the book.
