When you start with us, you will receive 28 days of paid annual leave (inclusive of bank and public holidays) which increases with each complete year of service, up to a maximum of 33 days’ holiday. You can also opt to purchase up to 5 additional days’ leave each year. Our staff receive a loyalty bonus at 5, 10, 15 and 20 years’ service.

• Staff are eligible for a 50% reduction on nursery fees.
• A 25% childcare discount is available for one of your family members.
• A 10% family childcare discount is available on your eldest child's chargeable hours if a sibling joins the nursery.
• A corporate childcare discount may be applied if there is an agreement in place between Toad Hall and another company.

This discount is applied first and any subsequent discounts will apply to the already discounted chargeable hours. We offer a 5% discount for NHS, armed forces, police and emergency services staff.

*Permanent staff are entitled to a maximum of 2 discounts - e.g. their 50% discount plus a 25 % family member discount OR their 50 % discount and a 10% family (sibling) discount for example.

In addition, 3 days paid leave when you need time off for dependants and 5 days paid time off in the event of the loss of a loved one.

Childcare qualifications

We know how important it is that you grow and learn while building a career. We have around 75 people across the company currently studying a qualification including:

• Advanced Apprenticeship in Children’s Learning and Development (EYE), Intermediate
• Apprenticeship in team leading, advanced apprenticeship in management
• Apprenticeship in business and professional administration 

You will also have a chance to become a champion in any of the early years’ training modules we offer, including Magical Maths and the Early Language Programme. In addition, our staff attend local authority training and mentor skills training.
